About
A path between research and practice
I’m a researcher and technology entrepreneur based in Copenhagen, with a background in business administration, innovation and technology management, and complex socio-technical systems.

I am interested in how people organise around difficult problems: how knowledge moves, how capabilities combine and how collaboration becomes possible. This has taken me from university research and teaching to building a company and working with public agencies, international organisations and industry.
Experience
2018–present
Co-founder & CEO, Dataverz
I co-founded Dataverz in 2018, initially alongside my DTU work and full-time from 2019. My responsibilities span conceptual and technical development, team leadership and the adoption of research-based systems. Pattrnz developed within Dataverz as a procurement product suite; I have led Nordic Procurement Labs since 2025.
2015–2018
Postdoctoral researcher, DTU
At DTU’s Engineering Systems Division, I worked on industrial capabilities, innovation ecosystems and inter-organisational collaboration, helping develop and lead Net-Sights, AMICa and the DTU contribution to EURITO.
2011–2015
Doctoral research, DTU
My PhD examined engineering design as a networked social process, supervised by Professor Anja Maier. In 2013, I was a visiting PhD researcher at MIT, working with Professor Steven Eppinger.
2008–2011
Entrepreneurship & university work in Chile
I co-founded Rnovo and later served as Deputy Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the School of Management, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. These experiences connected product development, education and technology transfer.

My education also includes an exchange at the University of British Columbia in 2007 and earlier studies in natural and social sciences in Chile (2001–2002).
I chaired DTU’s PhD Association in 2013–2014. My reviewing has included ICED and DESIGN and journals such as Research in Engineering Design, Design Science, Entropy, Journal of Knowledge Management and Journal of Mechanical Design.
Recognition includes selection among Chile’s 100 Young Leaders (2008), an MSc dissertation award (2011), and nomination for DTU’s PhD thesis award (2015).
My work through Dataverz has involved clients and collaborators including Novonesis, NIFU, TU Berlin, UNDP, the Colombian Observatory for Science and Technology, Chile’s Ministry of Science and the Inter-American Development Bank. The project pages describe selected contributions in context.
